EasyJet profits in nosedive
LOW-FARES airline EasyJet showed the strain of rising costs yesterday, warning that full-year profits could be as much as 42 per cent lower than last year.
Luton-based EasyJet also said it would cut capacity by 12 per cent at Stansted this winter and vowed to be "relentless" in addressing costs and efficiency.
The carrier is now expected to report pre-tax profits of between £110 million and £120m for the year to the end of September, down on the £191m of last year.
