Tesco staff to share £175m

STAFF at supermarket giant Tesco are to share a record-breaking £175 million payout from its savings schemes.
More than 50,000 Tesco staff, including checkout assistants, delivery drivers and head-office workers, will share the payout as part of the firm's save as you earn scheme.

Meanwhile, rival Morrisons saw its market share rise to 11.5 per cent in the last three months, partly helped by its recent celebrity-backed advertising drive.
