Tesco slips in market place

TESCO, the UK's biggest supermarket chain, has lost market share in the three months to the end of March, according to new figures.
The company's share dropped slightly from 31.2 per cent to 31 per cent, according to the figures from researcher TNS Worldpanel.

Sainsbury also saw its share drop by 0.2 per cent to 16.2 per cent, but fourth-biggest player Morrison's was on the up, increasing by half a point to 11.6 per cent. Third-placed Asda was up 0.2 per cent to 17.1 per cent. Waitrose, Iceland, Lidl and Netto also did well.
