LIFE and pensions group Standard Life has boosted its board with the appointment of a non-executive director with FTSE 100 experience.
David Grigson, a former chief financial officer for Reuters Group, will join the Standard Life board on 1 November.

Grigson has been on a sabbatical since he left Reuters following its merger with Canadian information group Thomson in 2008.

Standard Life's finance director David Nish was last week appointed as its new chief executive. A new finance director has yet to be named.
