Murphy's key US role for SLI

STANDARD Life Investments (SLI) has appointed Kenneth Murphy as senior vice-president (US equities) in its America subsidiary.
Murphy joins SLI from Boston's Putnam Investments, where he was a US equity analyst. He will identify investment ideas within the consumer sector and manage a portfolio benchmarked to the S&P 500 index.
