A CONSORTIUM led by ScottishPower has been named on a shortlist under a UK government programme to develop Britain's first commercial scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) project.
ScottishPower, part of Iberdrola, has tabled a plan which includes Marathon Oil Corporation and Aker, to capture carbon from one of its coal-fired power stations and pump it into oil wells. Consortiums led by BP, E.ON and Peel Power were also named on the shortlist.
