SUPERMARKET chiefs have been criticised for closing down a local store without any consultation with the surrounding community.
Morrisons plans to close its Bathgate store on November 19 with the loss of jobs.

Bathgate Councillor John McGinty said:

"The closure will bring a reduction in choice for local consumers, which is particularly disappointing as Bathgate's population has grown considerably in recent years."
