APOLLO Blinds, Scotland's largest blinds chain, has appointed a new general manager.
Gary Chambers will lead the company which has more than 20 franchise stores in Scotland, including three in Edinburgh, and 65 in the rest of the UK and Ireland.

Mr Chambers has been appointed from within Apollo Blinds' Dutch-based parent company Hunter Douglas, the world's biggest manufacturer of window blinds, with a brief to drive the business forward.

"The company originated in Scotland and has grown a strong franchise operation that has been trading very successfully for more than 35 years," he said.

"Our formula has enabled franchisees to run very successful and profitable businesses using the Apollo Blinds brand, but I believe there is an opportunity for them to earn even more money."
