Asda expands home items

ASDA is launching a new non-food business to compete with larger rival Tesco and Home Retail's Argos.
The company, which is owned by the world's largest retailer, Wal-Mart, said it would soon offer a 600-page catalogue at its stores, with customers initially ordering for home delivery, but with in-store collection in the future.
Asda's move is the latest shot in a battle to sell more non-food items, which generally carry higher margins.
