MEDIA watchdog Ofcom has questioned the BBC’s decision to broadcast an episode of The Vicar of Dibley, which saw Dawn French’s character get drunk, on Christmas Day.
Ofcom received 66 complaints about the episode, in which Geraldine questions her calling as a vicar, denigrated Christianity and should not have been screened on one of the biggest festivals in the Christian year.
