MICROSOFT is this week expected to take the fight to arch rivals Apple and Google when it launches Windows 7on Thursday.
Microsoft's last upgrade of Windows was a marketing disaster. Bugs plagued Vista after its launch in January 2007.

Windows 7 has so far received mainly favourable reviews and analysts hope it could kick start corporate IT spending. Analysts also expect Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer to announce the opening of the first Microsoft store in Arizona.

Apple and Microsoft release results this week.
