SMALL BUT BEAUTIFUL
POSTMAN Pat is to be broadcast in China after Entertainment Rights signed a deal with China's national television network.

China Central Television has bought 106 episodes of the classic children's TV series, which will be broadcast to more than
200 million children.

Entertainment Rights, which has a market cap of about £40 million, yesterday also announced a raft of broadcast agreements for Postman Pat – Special Delivery Service, a new series based on the original cartoon.

Special Delivery Service – which is due to be broadcast in the UK this autumn on digital TV channel CBeebies – will feature "an expanded, diverse cast, new story lines and town", Entertainment Rights said.

The new series will be broadcast in Australia, Denmark, Hong Kong, Italy, the Middle East, South Africa, Sweden and Thailand under the latest deals.

Following the announcement, Collins Stewart reiterated its "buy" recommendation on Entertainment Rights, with a target price of 20p. The broker said there was also "upgrade potential". Shares in Entertainment Rights closed up 23 per cent at 6.47p.
