Endemol eyes offer for ITV

BIG Brother producer Endemol has refused to rule out a possible takeover of ITV, saying a tie up "could make sense".
John de Mol, the co-founder who bought back into Endemol in a £2.5 billion buy-out last year, said it would probably buy smaller producers.

But commenting on ITV, he added: "This one is an example of a combination that could make sense, depending on numbers." A steep fall in ITV's shares has prompted groups including Endemol to look again at the group.
