FOREIGNERS are helping to prop up the UK property market as they take advantage of the weak pound to snap up cheap homes, housebuilder Berkeley Group said yesterday.
The firm said it had witnessed an encouraging improvement in market conditions in recent months, albeit from a very low base.

Berkeley posted a 35 per cent fall in pre-tax profits to £52 million for the six months to 31 October, as the number of transactions dropped from last year's 968 units to 914.
