HOTEL-HOPPING manager Gehan Eriyagama is settling into his new role as general manager of the Edinburgh North Holiday Inn.
Eriyagama – who had been operations manager at Edinburgh's Carlton Hotel for three years – is charged with raising the profile of the "hidden gem" hotel, which boasts views of Scotland's capital stretching from the Firth of Forth to Arthur's Seat.

As well as his time with Carlton, Eriyagama has held similar operational roles with Macdonald Hotels at the Holyrood and Houston House hotels.

He has also worked within the management teams at Edinburgh's Crown Plaza and Ramada Jarvis hotels.
