NEWSPAPER publisher Johnston Press, owner of The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday and Edinburgh's Evening News, again responded to reports that a Scottish consortium is interested in buying the papers.
It said that it "notes the press speculation regarding the potential disposal of The Scotsman. Johnston Press can confirm that the board does not have any disposal process under way in this regard."

The consortium includes Martin Gilbert, chief executive of Aberdeen Asset Management, property developer Mark Shaw and Edinburgh investment banker Ben Thomson.
