Tim Bowdler, who is standing down as chief executive of Johnston Press, owner of The Scotsman, is to be the non-executive chairman of PA Group.
PA owns the Press Association, the national news agency of the UK and Ireland. PA said appointing a non-executive chairman "would allow the executive team to concentrate on growth and development of the business."
