Double D's cooking in the US

A LOTHIANS cooker and oven manufacturer has signed a prestigious distribution agreement with a leading supplier of industrial meat processing machinery in North America.

Double D Food Engineering, the Broxburn-based company, which makes products for the baking and food-processing industries, has signed the deal with New Jersey's Nu-Meat Technology.

It will now act as an agent in selling Double D's range of batch and continuous ovens, char grillers and bar markers through its partners in the US.

Bob Petrie, Double D's managing director, said: "This partnership with Nu-Meat is a natural progression as part of our overseas expansion strategy.

"We already have a foothold in the US, but Nu-Meat's network of partners will expand the field for us even more."
