The following business news is expected on Monday:
After the raft of major companies that have issued half-year results, things are set to get much quieter.
Monday's only scheduled results are from power supply solutions firm XP Power, which is due to post half-year figures. The firm achieved profits of £5 million in the 2007 calendar year, and the figure is expected to grow to £8.1m.
There are no economic announcements due on Monday, although the British Retail Consortium's retail sales monitor and Bank of England's inflation report are both scheduled for later in the week.
