The following business news is expected on Monday:
Ready meal maker Northern Foods, which makes brands including Goodfella's pizza and Fox's biscuits, is due to give an update on trading in an interim management statement about the first quarter to June. It posted a 32 per cent rise in pre-tax profits to £45 million in the year to the end of March, following cost cuts and changes to its product portfolio.
Other results due are half-year figures from FT publisher Pearson, and finals from Filtronic and ITM Power.
It's all quiet on the economic front, with no major results expected in the UK or US.
