Ikea earnings fall 8 per cent

SWEDISH furniture giant IKEA saw its pre-tax profit drop eight per cent last year to £90.2 million.
But sales at the group, which has a store at Straiton, rose two per cent to £1.09bn, according to its latest accounts. The group, which is in the middle of a £760m expansion programme, does not detail trading at individual outlets.
