Pub owner Enterprise Inns is due to unveil its results for the six months to March 31. It said in March that troubled debt markets and difficult trading conditions had caused it to shelf refinancing plans, and that the smoking ban and low consumer confidence had hit trading. Sales for the year to September were forecast to be £914 million.
Bakery chain Greggs and bank Alliance & Leicester are also due to give updates on their trading performances.
On the economic front, the latest purchasing managers index for the services sector is due to be published.
