Warning to BE over bid price
SHAREHOLDERS of British Energy have warned the board they will not accept less than a "significant" premium for the nuclear operator, it has been reported.
On Friday, the shares added 5 per cent to 715.5p after BE said it had received several approaches, but only EDF is said to have tabled an offer.
Shareholders have said rising wholesale prices means the price does not reflect the group's prospects or a control premium.
