New venture in Netherlands

VENTURE Production, the North Sea oil producer, has bought stakes in two undeveloped gasfields off the coast of the Netherlands from Wintershall.
Analysts at Evolution Securities estimated the deal would add 25.6 billion cubic feet of gas – roughly 2 per cent – to Venture's reserves. Subject to regulatory clearance, Aberdeen-based Venture will operate the fields, and it is possible one of them could be developed with another of its Dutch assets. The deal is Venture's eighth this year.
