FERGUSON Group, which supplies offshore accommodation modules and containers for the global energy industry, has banked record pre-tax profits of just over £8.5 million.
The Inverurie-based firm, which employs some 130 people worldwide, also reported a 45 per cent rise in annual turnover to £28m. It is the first time Ferguson has published results since a restructuring last year.

The group said it had landed "major" contract wins in a number of locations including the US and west Africa. It has also been targeting the renewables sector, securing "significant" deals to provide accommodation modules for offshore windfarms.

Ferguson said it had seen "unprecedented" levels of demand from clients worldwide.

Group managing director Steven Ferguson said: "We have set the divisions ambitious, achievable targets for structured expansion. We will support this with investments of over £60m over the next three years."
