Airtricity takes on Italian job

AIRTRICITY, the renewable energy division of Perth-based Scottish & Southern Energy, has entered into a 60/40 joint venture with Italian wind farm development company Entropya.
The joint venture company will be based in Lecce in Puglia, southern Italy, and will develop a portfolio of wind farm sites across Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily. It has a development pipeline of more than 2,000 megawatts and follows a similar deal between Airtricity and Swedish Gothia Vind in April.
