PLANS to build Princes Street's first new hotel in more than 50 years were submitted yesterday.
The site – opposite West Princes Street Gardens – will house 100 bedrooms as well as a glass- fronted department store.
It is understood fashion giant New Look has already agreed to occupy the three-storey building.
Belfast-based developer Deramore Property Group lodged the planning application after months of discussions.
The last hotel built on the street was the Mount Royal in 1955.
