STRONG internet growth helped Yell lift its underlying earnings by 8 per cent to £160.8 million in the three months to 30 June.
Yell, which publishes the Yellow Pages telephone directory, said its online operations, including
Yell.com, now accounted for an “increasingly significant” share of group revenues, up to 16 per cent from 12 per cent a year ago.
A 27 per cent rise in internet revenues offset an 8 per cent fall in printed directory sales.
