A START-UP online personal finance business chaired by the former head of Tesco Personal Finance, Stuart Sinclair, has raised £1 million from a cluster of investors including venture capitalist group Par Equity, Scottish Enterprise and members of the firm's own management.
Money Dashboard, which also has David Robinson, founder of Edinburgh insurance firm Bright Grey on its board, said the funding will allow it to complete a series of security and technical audits before its website goes live in 2010.

The firm hopes to replicate the success of US-based Mint.com, which recently sold for $170m (£104m)
