Ebay expects lower sales

ONLINE auction site eBay has warned that sales will be lower than expected in the current quarter because of the weakened global economy.
The caution came as eBay posted a rise in net income of £230.2 million over the past three months to June, from £188m a year earlier.

The firm also admitted it was having trouble attracting new users to the site. The US company has had difficulties maintaining the trust of existing users after an overhaul of its feedback system earlier this year.
