THE pilot phase of John Menzies Digital's new Digital Magazines service has seen a huge consumer response, with around 20,000 people registering and downloading a variety of magazines.
Menzies Digital, part of the Edinburgh-based news distribution and airline services group John Menzies, expects to sign a number of additional major publishers to the service in the coming weeks, further extending the portfolio of titles on offer to consumers.

The thousands of registrations during the three weeks since the launch of the WHSmith eMagazines site and the heightened interest from publishers wanting to make their titles available is being seen as evidence that the idea of downloading digital magazines has the potential to "push a button" with a broad range of consumers.
