Young to quit as Five newsreader

KIRSTY Young, the award-winning newsreader, is to leave Five News in the autumn, ten years after she first joined the channel.
Young, who is from East Kilbride, said she would continue hosting Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, but has no other immediate plans. She said: "I feel it's time for a change."
