CAIRN India, part of Sir Bill Gammell's Cairn Energy business, said it hopes to pump 25 per cent more oil a day from its giant Mangala field in India than it had earlier forecast – once the asset comes on stream.
According to an earlier plan the field, the largest oil discovery in India since 1985, was expected to produce 100,000 barrels a day from 2009.
