AXIS-SHIELD, the Dundee-based medical kits specialist, has been granted Chinese patent protection for one of its key products.
The firm have received notice of approval of a patent application covering its Afinion diagnostics kit technology.

The patent grant, which follows similar approvals in Europe and Japan, ensures that the disposable cassette system and the key elements of the detection technology employed in the Afinion desk-top analyser cannot be copied by a third party.
