Lifescan owner in good health

HEALTHCARE giant Johnson & Johnson, owner of Inverness-based blood-sugar monitor maker Lifescan, revealed a 23 per cent rise in half-year profits yesterday.
Performance was boosted by sharply higher sales of medical devices and consumer products including its nonprescription allergy pill Zyrtec.
The New Jersey-based group reported profits of $6.93 billion, up 23 per cent on the same period last year. Revenue totalled $32.64bn, up 8 per cent.
