AN ANTITRUST lawsuit has been filed against Intel, claiming it used "illegal threats and collusion" to dominate the marketplace for computer microprocessors.
New York attorney general Andrew Cuomo claims the computer-chip maker tried to prevent the sale of competitors' products by paying billions of dollars in kickbacks and punished manufacturers who had too much trade with rivals.
He said the practices were revealed in e-mails from an investigation. Intel, fined $1.45 billion (£886 million) by the EU in May, denies wrongdoing.
