GLEN Group, the comeback venture of Scots telecoms entrepreneur Graham Duncan, has swallowed a Paisley-based telco for £100,000.
Colloquium provides voice and data products to more than 300 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It is also one of Scotland's oldest internet service providers, having set up the operation in 1995.
Alan Bonner, Glen Group's chief executive, said: "The acquisition of Colloquium delivers valuable expertise, customers, cash flow and cross-selling opportunities, together with the enhanced status of a public telecommunications operator."
Duncan, the founder of Atlantic Telecom, which collapsed in 2001 having been valued at £2 billion at its peak, recently took up the post of chairman, handing the day-to-day reins to Bonner.
Bonner founded the Falkirk-based telecoms business Pinnacle, which became part of Glen Group last year.
