THE owner of Scottish firm Financial Services Advice and Support (FSAS) said the increasing need for good advice in the current climate has helped it continue to trade profitably.

Lighthouse Group saw its pre-tax profits drop to £442,000, compared to £786,000 last year. Revenues remained broadly level at £25.5 million.

David Hickey, executive chairman at Lighthouse, said: "Given the wider macro-economic climate, good independent financial advice and wealth management is becoming increasingly valuable."
