Fidelity axes Edinburgh jobs

FOUR jobs are to go at fund manager Fidelity International's office in George Street, Edinburgh, as part of "several hundred" job cuts at its UK operations by the end of January 2009.
It is understood two Edinburgh-based fund managers specialising in UK institutional portfolios and their assistants are to leave.

The institutional portfolios are being switched to Fidelity's London office, a spokesman said. Fidelity employs 14 in George Street.
