ONLINE gambling firm 888.com has seen its income rise by 24 per cent to £46 million for the third quarter of this year – up from £37m in 2007.
The company enjoyed an 18 per cent rise in casino betting – from £19.6m to £23m. Trading during the traditionally weaker summer months of July and August was solid, with Total Operating Income in August growing above July's level.
Gigi Levy, chief executive officer, said: "We have delivered another quarter of solid performance which was impacted by the global economic crisis and the extreme volatility in exchange rates."
