PRAISE be for good news. Just when you think there is absolutely none to tell, there comes a heartening tale, a small story but with a happy ending. The Sutherlands are definitely a happier family today. Five months ago, on 8 February, I highlighted in this column "This was heartless and unjust – it must not be allowed to stand", the appalling treatment of their planning application.
This was to build a new home on the site of their existing house near Inverurie with self-contained flat nearby to give their son, Euain, 26, more independence. Euain is disabled and suffers from cerebral palsy.

If this report is correct and I've no reason to doubt it isn't it proves that Councillor Ford is unfit for public duty. The Lib Dem councillors should hang their heads in shame.

Moreover this should be taken into account by the Trump Enquiry to prove political bias in Ford's previous decisions.

Shows exactly how government regulation drives the cost of hiousing up to 4 times what it should be.

"The family", she wrote, "is not asking for financial assistance or support to care for Euain; they are only asking for permission to provide the accommodation to meet his needs which they will finance…"

Indeed. This is explainable if we accept that the primary purpose of government is to pay government employees. If they had been wanting a grant they would, like all these windmill parasites, have got a government grant along with a government administrater.
