STAGECOACH founder Brian Souter has bought a second ferry operator in New Zealand.
Souter Holdings, the founder investment company of transport firm Stagecoach, has applied to New Zealand's commerce commission to buy Kiwi Kat, which operates cruises for tourists in Auckland.

The company also runs services from Auckland to Tiritiri Matangi Island and beach resort Coromandel, as well as a commuter service to Gulf Harbour.

In April, Souter Holdings bought another Auckland-based ferry company, Fullers, from Infratil for NZ$40 million (£15.7m).
