TWO high-profile Scots have been appointed to the board of ScottishPower.
Kwik-Fit founder Sir Tom Farmer and the former chairman of STV Lord Gus Macdonald will play a "key role in ensuring ScottishPower continues to be at the forefront of the leading power firms in the UK", according to parent company Iberdrola.

The two men were previously members of Iberdrola's advisory board.

Mr Farmer said he wants to bring "Scottish power" to the firm.

He added: "This is an area that really fascinates me."
