JACQUES Vert, the womenswear retailer, said pre-tax profits dived to £4.3 million from £19.9m during the year to 26 April. Like-for-like sales were up by 0.5 per cent during the period compared to the prior year.
Paul Allen, Jacques Vert's chief executive, said results were effected by poor trading during the final six weeks of its financial year.
