PR with a track record

ATHLETICS star Lee McConnell has joined the Glasgow team at Scottish public relations agency Big Partnership.

The Commonwealth Games silver medallist has been made an account executive and the agency hopes she can use her knowledge and contacts to help build new business.

She said: "I've always been comfortable with the media and it made sense for me to learn how to deal with the media from another angle."

Alex Barr, director at Big, said: "Lee brings a tremendous track record – literally – and she has already shown her enthusiasm for tackling a new challenge."
