THE Edinburgh Solicitors Property Centre is in talks with its Glasgow counterpart that could result in a merger.
The ESPC and GSPC have been trying to fight a slump in property sales and are sizing up the option of creating a single Central Belt property centre.

Ron Smith, chief executive of ESPC, said that although no formal proposals were currently in place, discussions had taken place about how they could work together more closely.

He said: "The two boards have held several informal meetings and we are currently starting and developing a number of joint projects with the GSPC, for example in printing and advertising." a

He added: "Whether these things lead to a full-blown merger has yet fully to be determined."
