Lawyers are hired to protect the person who hired them.

If the person done the crime or not is not the question.

For a Lawyer you ask if they can get you off the hook

Lawyers get such a bad name because the Law Society of Scotland is inept at running the profession.I suspect the author of the above article will be well aware of that, as are most members.

#6.....Melly. £50 for a letter aye right and the rest.............No doubt many lawyers are honest, however it still doesnt stop them being greedy snouts in the trough B,tds who always block attempts to regulate them .

Then as per comments above, stop charging outlandish fees.

Also value morality. Do not get people off violent crimes on "technicalities" - PIN THEM

Then us non-lawyers might have more respect

From experience I noticed that layers are only interested in your money.They do that job for a living , don't they?If it were to help you really they would do it for free.
