THE company behind the Comet electrical chain has appointed a new chief executive.
Kesa Electricals has appointed Thierry Falque-Pierrotin, formerly an executive at French retail and luxury goods group PPR, after an 18-month search to replace outgoing Jean-Noel Labroue. He will join the retailer on January 5.

The search was caused by the departure of former chief operating officer Simon Fox, who was expected to become the next chief executive but quit abruptly in 2006 to take the top job at HMV.
