NEWSPAPER publisher Johnston Press, owner of The Scotsman, yesterday confirmed that John Fry had joined the firm as its new chief executive.
Fry, whose appointment was unveiled in September, has also been appointed as a board director. He replaces Tim Bowdler, who stands down as chief executive and a director of the company, ahead of his planned retirement in May. The group said Bowdler would be retained for a period "to assist in a smooth transfer of responsibilities".
